Greenwich

It was a quite long journey to get to Greenwich because of the problem of tube, despite the trip was a kind of living do for Claudio who has lived in the same home stay as me for 3months. He is one of my close friends in London. He and me have shared many small and big events together - furthermore, he is incredible hilarious. That guy went back to his country yesterday; I’ll miss him. For this reason, we had visited Greenwich at the day before the day. It is certain a town as stunning as my father said. I've been lots of captivating places in Britain so far, but the small town, Greenwich, would be remembered as the best. We looked around the beautiful town until the night. I figured out some points for tourists at the night. At night the scenery could be much better than the other times and we could come up some fabulous laser from the top of the hill to the centre of the city as well. Greenwich is really worth visiting. I recommend being there.

Bicester Village

I browsed the shop, Jimmy Choo, for almost 30minutes.
Can you guess his nationality?
We actually call her as Taiwanese English because she's been living here for 7years!

I'm learing bear's language.

The poor man who he was waiting for someone for a long time.

How long are you wating for your partner?

I got down to the famous place, Beiceste Village, especially for women. Unfortunately it is not really London. It's nearby Oxford it's famous for the fabulous university, Oxford University. I've never been Oxford yet, but I hope getting there as soon as I can. Anyway there are lots of shops. It seems a big outlet formed a village, so the qualities of the shops are really good like others on frantic streets and the prices are also lovely. Meanwhile my friends were buying some things I bought one clothes at a shop as well, but, unfortunately, it took a really short time. Afterward ladies led the poor men we had already finished our shopping and I couldn't follow ladies' work well they seem WONDER WOMEN. I mean they have incredible good stamina to shop. The funniest fact was many men were outside of shops with lots of paper bags even it was incredible cold. They had also been waiting for women until their shopping was finished. How hilarious!

I'm definitely glad to get your lovely presents, Natsumi!

She packed them up in a small paper back with a lovely short message.

I got a gift from one of my friends! It was my first time that I was given some present from my friend in London. She gave me a lovely Japanese hankie and a pair of quirky socks it seems so hard to wear while going out because of the interesting design that it has just two covers for toes, but it would be a good souvenir to remember her and my life of London as well. I'm really pleased to get it. Natsmi, I really hope you're getting over. I'll jump at the chance to go on holiday in this spring if it is possible. Take care of your self-
I recalled an expression about London as soon as I saw it.
'I feel as right as rain.'

Korea into the world

A lot of various people and countries are over the world. Have you seriously thought how foreign people think of our country? I have recently discussed our history with my Chinese friend who is one of my closest friends in London and shocked - it was actually argument. There was no point in making the conclusion because it was perfectly different from our education. I figured some points out which information is wrong throughout Korea and China in education.

For instance, we've learned just the good side of Go Jo Seon as if it was really a strong country as enough as fighting against China. I presume the half of it is true - it was far bigger than now, but I couldn't believe well the border in our history book . My teachers have taught me as if lots of Chinese land was our land because many Korean ancient formed bronze knives are come up in the Chinese areas, but I reckon we exaggerate our history. I have recently realised I don't know well how the great ancient Korean kingdom was wiped out. Probably the reason why I can't think of is my teachers haven't thought me very well how it was devastated.

On the other hand, Chinese people have absolutely no idea that our kingdom was as several times big as now - they don't want to recognise that our history. The most surprising thing is European people who have studied oriental history think that South Korea stole the history of North Korea!

I didn’t fall out with him anymore because it is unlikely to integrate identified. Our history is absolutely reduced by other countries. Nobody has interested in the history of the Third World, and, likewise, it has been easily controlled by developed counties. I presume our history is not that diffenrent. We've been frantic to make our country develop for a while, but we should know our history is less estimated than the authentic one.
Therefore I would like to say there is no meaning showing off our history in this coutry. I strongly believe that we can alter the awareness of our history of international view. “Yes, we can” like Burack Obama’s quote. Bravo Korea!

2008 World Press Photo

London is lots of photo exhibitions as many exhibitions of Photographer Gallery. Unfortunately it is not regular exhibition and it doesn't have good rooms, but I'm sure it would be worth visiting if you were interesting in photography. We usually enjoy taking or watching photos that almost of them probably would be normal photography. Press photo is a different sort of photography we usually contact it on media or newspaper. It's located near River Thames. The location is about 15minutes away from our school by a walk.

The terrorists

What do they look like?
A few weeks ago, they organized a horrible group called as IHT that it stands for International House Terrorists. The guy, Chinese, who he is in the middle of the left hand is a trained staff of the group. The other guy, Saudi Arabian, who he is in the middle of the right hand is a messenger to announce our message. Last one guy, Taiwanese, who he is in the middle of the photo is the leader of this horrible group. Be careful them if you go to London.
( To be honest, they are my best friends.)

Phantom of Opera and Treasure Island

Tim who he is Taiwanese took a photo of me in front of the poster of Phantom of Opera.

It's in front of the theatre.

She,Chris, was in front of the Treasure Island's theatre to be taken a photo of her.

It's me.
I've been an incredible busy week because I saw a football match and two performances. I'm uploading some of their photos that I took them at the theatres of Phantom of Opera and Treasure Island. They are probably a good play and a good musical, but I was bored to tears. The problem is I've got discerning eye to estimate some performances because I saw many performances during I've been living in London. All of them that I've seen are really fabulous. I haven't ever seen any boring performances in London before I saw them.
The Phantom of Opera uses a special set like almost all another musicals, but, especially, I’m sure the set is the best one I've ever seen. Before I had seen it, I had curious how to express the plot because the plot of the book is really complicated to set on a small stage, but it was a stunning set as if it's a miracle! I couldn't complaint anything about the fabulous set, but I think of the music makes us bored because the rhythms of the music were exactly same from first leg of the musical to last leg of it. It doesn't mean the music of the musical was horrible. I just want to say they don't express very well the atmosphere in the music. The music would be better if they play various repertoires.
Anyway ,the other hand, Treasure Island is based on a book. The story was too simple, so we could read the story like a book. It is the worst play I've ever seen. I reckon it was actually not horrible for another people who they are proficient English as native speakers, but I couldn't understand it as well because the actors spoke too much. After it had been finished, I was worn out because I focused on all my though to hear it during I was watching it. The play was horrible, but it was really good to improve my English ability. How funny! -_-

London Eye

It's a souvenir of that I've ever taken on the luxurious London Eye

It was a rainy day, so these photos are unclear.

Big Ben and House of Parliament are one of my favourite places.

I reckon Seoul should better make this kind of the big wheels for tourists near Han Gang because the night scenery of Seoul is also fantastic like London.

I introduce my new girl friend ~!

I took on the extortionate big wheel. You can never guess the charging if you haven't even been London. It cost 15.50pounds (32,000won) to take a round for half an hour. I felt that 'I'm extravagant' when I paid the charging. Anyway I took on London Eye with my new camera. I trust it could catch the fantastic night scenery, but I was disappointed as soon as I saw the conclusion of these photos. They're unclear and foggy because it was a horrible rainy day. We could see lots of water stains on the windows, so I wasn't satisfied with my photos. The photos were horrible, but the scenery was stunning! I reckon it's the reason why it could be thriving, even the price is horrible. If I went there a sunny day, I could take vivid photos that I would be satisfied by them. Even though the weather is horrible as the normal days of London, but London Eye is worth visiting because of the stunning scenery. But if you want to catch the fabulous scenery, you should get there in a sunny day.

They are the first photos by my new camera.

I took this photo in a bus when I was going back to home, so the quality of the photo is quite bad, but I like this kind of scenery.
I don't need explaining it because it's one of the famous ladmarks.
It was a sunny day and the sky was fabulous.
Tragalgar Square is really a gorgeous place.

It was impression sunshine.

I took a photo toward River Thames.

A small street which is near River Thames was impression especially at the day becuase of the strong sunshine.
-
I tested my new camera after I'd got it at Heathrow airport, so the time was quite early. It was between 9o'clock and 11o'clock, so I could look around comfortably the inactive street with my new camera. There is normally incredible busy, but I've taken photos comfortably because it was in morning. I walked from Leicester Square to River Thames. It was really an interesting way. The weather was perfect to take photos and my lovely new buddy was also perfect to catch the scenery. I estimated it after I'd taken photos like that, in personal, one of the best advantages is the clear photo. Compact cameras normally have a lot of noise, but this is depressed the noise. It was really fantastic because the qualities of photos are similar to cheap DSLRs like my stolen camera. Many people said the designs of Fujis are horrible, but that's ok for me. I'm satisfied with almost all functions, but it's quite difficult to control zooming and it doesn't have manual mode to control all functions by myself. That's not big problems to use it because it is really a good stuff.

Anyway I really thank my father and my mother.

Sometimes our morning could come early.

  • There is a small part of the huge airport.
-
The biggest airport in Europe, Heathrow airport, is always frantic. When I went there to get my new camera, even though it was early morning, but there was incredible busy. I'd woke up at 3:20AM and took on night buses. I'm sure the bus system of London is obviously better than Korea, so I didn't care if I can take on a bus in the middle of the night when I had been preparing to get there because it never concern with the horrible Tube. Anyway I met him who he is also a student from Korea through the same agency without any problem except I'd waited for almost 2 hours. I don't mind it because my new camera is so lovely as well. I got a good feeling as soon as I used it first time. Therefore I went directly to River Thames without stopping by home. I will gradually upload the result of test on my blog.
  • I often see the advertisements of Korea in London like this.
  • It's a kind of the zebra crossing. When you want to across a street, you have to press the button and hang on for a few seconds. The traffic signal is changing to across the street.

The cartoon museum

Ann, me and Naura

Last week, in the last lesson of Clare's class, we went to the cartoon museum where is opposite the British museum. It's a little bit difficult to get the information because there is quite small and built new. Even though there is like that, but we were satisfied with visiting there because it's free for students(;). I'm afraid about that Clare who she used to be our teacher paid money to enter there because unfortunately she is not a student. The museum makes up 2 floors, but both the floors are quite small, so we could look around the whole floors in 1hour. Even there is incredible small, it would be a good travel course because the British museum which is one of the most famous museums is opposite it, so you could see the famous museum after looking around there. I recommend visiting there if you're interested in cartoon and a student.

and Manar who she took these photos of us.

Enjoy the fervent Salsa dance

Many western countries' people love dance, such as Samba and Salsa. Salsa is especially a lovely dance. Could you guess why I'm saying about the dance? The reason is I went clubbing to learn Salsa. Of course it was a free lesson, so it made me happy, but also too many people were getting crazed into the dance because it was a manic night on Friday. I couldn't see well the dancing teacher because of the crazed people, but it was really fantastic. I was also getting crazy like them. Some of them danced like a professional dancer. They were incredible flexible to use their body, but my body seemed a pair of chopsticks. Furthurmore I didn't follow lesson very well, so my partners didn't want to dance with me any more after that we finish one part of the lesson. -_- My French friend who dances well said "You could practice the dance to YouTube if you wanted to do it.” Alright I got it. Wait a few years, Salsa. I would get possession of you.
