John Legend - ordinaty people

John Legend - ordinary people
I love 'Somedays' by John Legend that the song is August Rush's OST.
The song is very fantastic.
This song is also singing by John Legend.
This is also very nice song.
Especially look at this music video.
It's very impression.
This is absolutely worth watching.

Dido - thank you

I know about this song before going to London.
But I don't know the name of the song.
I have listened to the other songs by Dido in London.
But I think about that this song is the best of them.
I'd really recommend listening to this song.
Maybe many people already know this song.
It's really nice song.

Rihanna - take a bow

This song is my favorite song nowadays.
This is very famous song in the UK and maybe in the world.
When I am tired, this song make me refresh.
Try this song.
It is very nice song.

Am I going gloomy?

Can you compare with these photos? Can you choose which photo looks better for you? I think people normally answer the question like that the first photo is better than the other one, because the photo is lighter, so that we could see it clearly. Furthermore, the skyline is also clearer, but, nowadays, I feel the darker one which is on the below of the lighter photo is better than the other one. When I went to the Windsor castle, I took a photo in face to the sun and my friend asked me why you took a photo in the pose. Well… I don’t have a reason. Just I like the atmosphere. It's ironic because I never like darker photos when I was in Korea because they're not clearer lines of the subjects, but it has good atmosphere.
I don't know well about that before. Even one of my friends who he is Dong Hyun told me about that, but I didn't recognize it. Now I'm addicted into these kinds of photos. How funny? So, as the reason, I'll upload like the photos which they're darker and heavier atmosphere, don't mind about that. ^^

We will rock you

I saw the famous musical 'we will rock you' a couple of days ago.
'Somebody to love'
'Bicycle'
'Don't stop me now'
'Bohemian rhapsody'
'Flash'
'Crazy little thing'
'You're my best friend’ and 'We will rock you'
I just know about a half of the songs in this musical. It was really fabulous.I got a feeling like that Queen is alive at there while I was watching it.I paid just 19£ (38,000won) to watch this fantastic musical. It is much cheaper price because the price is only for students.
Look at it in a detail.Could you find the price? '55£'It is 110,00won in Korea.Oh my god.But it's really worth watching. It makes up many songs by Queen.Actually this story is very rough and childish. In 2080, in summary, all people sing the same and bored songs and they behave just like robots. But some people start resistance by music. They sing to release the other people. Finally, they release all over the world by Queen's songs. In my opinion the plot is rubbish, but the songs are amazing.I think some songs are better than the original songs by Queen.Next month I'll watch 'Chicago' in the social program of school.I'm expecting the musical.

How do I get the Student Oystercard?

Before I arrived here, I hadn't known about the Oystercard that are two kinds of the Oystercard. I got many information to prepare going to London because it's my first abroad, but many books and many internet sites didn't explain well about that in details, so it made me confused. I'll explain for Korean people who they are preparing to go to London to study English about how to make the student Oystercard.
If you are a student and your ages is over 18 years old, you could ask receipt in your school how can to make the student Oystercard. They'll give you a form to make the student Oystercard.
Fill out the form, after then go to post office, and then you ask them that I want to make the student Oystercard. If you pay 5pounds, you could get the postal order to make the student Oystercard. Go back the receipt at your school after getting the postal order.
They'll write some number on your form when you bring the form with the postal order to them.
Your form is completed after finishing that. Send the form with the postal order to the Oystercard office. Don't forget sending both the postal order and the form.
After then wait a week or two weeks.
It's quite easy, but if you don't know how to make the student Oystercard, it would be much difficult.
By the way, the Oystercard has two methods to pay money.
One is 'pay as you go'. The other one is 'travel card'. If you get the student Oystercard, the monthly travel card is absolutely cheaper than the pay as you go.
I think it's very important thing to students in London, but many books and many online sites don't explain about this well so many Korean use just normal Oystercard.
The student Oystercard is cheaper by 30% than the normal Oystercard.
If someone goes to London to study English, I will absolutely recommend about that.

Who is the best famous Korean in London?

Who is the best famous Korean in London?

Can you guess?

..

..

..

The best famous Korean is Park Ji Sung. Many people don't know who is the president of Korea or what is Tae Kwon Do, but almost all people know Park Ji Sung very well. As soon as I tell English people like that 'I'm from Korea', Many people tell back me.
" I know Park Ji Sung."
I don't like watching football.
But sometimes I have to watch a football match because many people crazy in the football.
Many people aren't interested in Korea. Sometimes it is very funny becuase almost all people know SamSung, LG, KIA and Hyundai very well.
Some people know well about the companies more than me. Of course the companies aren't my job, but I feel proud that I'm Korean because of them.
How funny?

This photo is not relative to the companies.
There is just in my room.

MSN messenger

In my school all computers have set up strong protectors to keep the computers.
So I can't download something and I also can't use the other programs.
But I recognized a special information a few days ago.
I can use MSN messenger because it is a basic program in Windows.
I blame my self. I really didn't know the program name is different from Korea.
MSN messenger is Ebuddy in London.
So if you want to chat with me on computer, register my ID in your MSN.

My MSN ID :
silvanus130@hotmail.com

I can join in MSN from 7PM in Korean time.
When I'm using a computer, I'll join in MSN.

See you in MSN.

The Windsor castle

I had my first trip in Britain to Windsor where is near London last weekend.
I went there with 3 Japanese who they are Ayaka, Ayaka's father and Umeda, Russian who she is Anastisiya and Swiss who he is Cladio.
Cladio is my host mates. So we went there together from Clapham Junction station to Windsor.
The other people went from Paddington station to Windsor.
Our station is exactly nearer than Paddington station.
But we were later 2 hours than the other people.
What was the reason..?
Because it was just first trip for us. So we spent much more money and a time.
We got good experience from this trip.
I always think of like that everything is good experience when I was in fact to bad situation.
Anyway we arrived at Windsor later 2 hours than the other people.
I really sorried about that.
We paid 13.3 Pounds (27,000 won) to enter into the Windsor castle.
It was cheaper price than the other tickets, because I'm a student.
My teacher said "Free is nowhere in London."
At that time, I definitely agree the opinion.
The Windsor castle was really amazing.
It isn't just a castle. It is a city for the Royal family.
I saw very nice palace for the Royal family. I couldn't take photos there.
I remembered the palace into my heart instead of photos.

I felt many things through this trip.
Especially I thought about my English.

I feel that my English is gradually better than before.

It's slow. But that's OK.

I always remind myself that I can do it.
It was my guide to look around the Windsor castle.
This is me.

"Look at Jim!"

"Hi!"

Ayaka and Anastasiya.

McDonald's is everywhere.

I took off at this station.

In Windsor, we can find statues easily.

Staffs was very kind.

Umeda and me.

My small camera bag

Before went to London, I bought this camera bag.

It's so small and put posible into a bag pack.
But camera weight is still heavy.
So I just bring my camera in special days.
Sometimes I miss a compact camera.
So I enjoy taking photos near my house.
Tomorrow I will go to Windsor with my heavy camera.
But that's OK.
Because after coming back London, I will be able to see photos better than the photos which they're taken photos by a compact camera.
I desire getting nice photo without DSLR.
If I have a nice skill to take photos, I don't need the heavy baby. -_-
Hey guy~ you'd better get less your weight.
I feel that my arms are stronger than before because of you.

The Photographer's gallery

The Photogragher's gallery

London is many galleries.
This gallery is really a small gallery.
Many travellers don't know about this gallery,
because we can't find about the gallery in travel books.
I found this gallery accidentally when I was walking on the street alone.
There is near by Leicester square station.
There is not bad and the best importat thing is the entrance fee is free.
If you want to go there, look for a big lottery near the Leicester square station.
And you could find there easily.

The Thames festival

The Thames festival

I could see many performances in this performance.
Especially many busking were very impression.
Latin, Classic, Hip-hop and Ballad
I could listen to all kinds of music.
So I took many photos.
It was over 200.
I walked along Thames.
And I approached Big Ben and the House of parliament.
It was very nice.
But we couldn't go into there.
So we took photos only outside.
And my camera battery was empty when I approached there.
So Ayaka just took photos for me.
Next time, I will go there again.
At that time, I will upload my photos.

The Korea new moon festival

The Korea new moon festival (in Thames festival)

I went to the Thames festival last weekend.
Because there was the Korea new moon festival.
The Korean festival was crowded.
Many people was enjoying the Korean cultural.
And there was put on Korean music.

All contents was nice.
The highlight performance was JUMP.
I saw JUMP in this festival.
Many foreign people were pleased.
After then, we could see B-boy dancing and Tae Kwon Do performance.
But I just saw JUMP and B-boy dancing,
because it was so hot. -_-
In London, I'm hard finding sunny day.
But the sunshine was too strong at the day.
Anyway I ate Bul Go Gi.
It was just 5 pounds ( 10,000won).
The other Korean restaurants are more expensive than that.
Normally Bul Go Gi is 8-9Pounds ( 16,000 - 18,000won).
Coke is too cheap in this festival!
It was just 2 for 1pounds (2,000won).
These prices are very cheap in London.
I think London's cost of living is twice more expensive than Korea.
T_T Poor student Jim.
So I always remember my remaining money.
I have lunch without water!
If you would go to London first time,
you would spend a lot of money.
But if you know how can you stay in London cheaper than the other travellers,
you could save a lot of money.
I'm learning saving my money.
Next month, I think that I can save more money than this month.

River Thames

Leicester square

Leicester square

There are many restaurants and many theatres!
Especilly the quality of musicals are really amazing.
Lion King, Chicago, the phantom of opera and etc.
Many world re-known musicals are here!
And if you have a student ID card, you could buy the ticket much cheaper.
The price is similar to the musicals in Dae Hak Ro.
But the musicals are much more famous than the musicals in Dae Hak Ro.
So I'll see a musical next Tuesday.
After see that I will upload photos about the musical on my blog.
Wait a few days.
